Over the years, we’ve noticed that many things around validations and verifications burden people working in laboratories. In our software development, we try to address the most prominent needs. In addition to calculating the results, we make it easier for you to plan and manage your verifications, manage your data, and create your reports. Yet, there are also issues that cannot be fully solved inside Validation Manager. They could often be summarized as “How should I do this?”

With these kinds of issues, you have the customer support and the user guide to back you up. But to get the full benefits of Finbiosoft services, you should also have the Finbiosoft Learning Portal. Here’s why:

Full user training available for you whenever you need it

To make it easier for new customers to start using Validation Manager, we’ve released the full Validation Manager user training content as video courses in the Learning Portal. They give you demos of the most commonly used studies along with introductory content and guided exercises, and the package has already received good feedback from happy users.

There are many benefits in video courses compared to live training sessions.

You don’t need to find a common time from everyone’s calendars, you just need to make sure that everyone takes the time they need to do the training.

In video training, everyone can advance at their own pace. If you find it easy, you can speed up the video and click through the exercises without needing to wait for others. And if you want to take more time to absorb all the details, you can reduce the speed and rewind whenever needed.

The Learning Portal is also perfect for cases when someone needs to get back to working in Validation Manager after a long break, or when you hire new people who need to be taught how to use all the tools and systems needed in their work.

The only drawback of video training is that it doesn’t answer questions. But over the years we’ve noticed that the same questions reoccur in training sessions, so we’ve answered those either in the video training content or in the training section of our user guide. And you can always send a message to our customer support if you cannot easily find an answer to a question.

Statistics of verifications in a down-to-earth package

For some of our users ANOVA, Bland-Altman, and Passing-Bablok are very familiar, and concepts such as bias, precision, measurement uncertainty, and specificity are easy to discuss. For most of our users though, statistics is something that’s only needed in verifications, and there hasn’t been an opportunity to learn what these things really mean.

To understand what Validation Manager does when calculating results, what kind of protocols you should use, and what values to look at when evaluating the performance of your candidate method, you can now do the Verification protocols and statistics course in the Learning Portal. You can find it in the Catalog section of the portal.

The Verification protocols and statistics course gives you a comprehensive introduction and a deep dive into the statistics behind the most important verification studies, including common concepts such as confidence intervals and outliers.

How to get to the Learning Portal

If you have a valid subscription to Learning Portal, you will find the link leading there on your Finbiosoft Cloud front page, and also by clicking the question mark in the top right corner of your Validation Manager. If you don’t have a subscription yet, contact our sales or ask for a quote in the Additional Features section of your Validation Manager Settings.

If you have any feedback about the Learning Portal, or ideas for future content, please share your thoughts by sending a message to our support!
